ADDRESS BOX

Okay, yes, it has been awhile again. But.... I really don't have a better excuse than kids and life and low mojo.
So, I've been wanting to make a rolodex for awhile, after seeing all the great rolodexes. But I didn't really want to buy one. (I know, cheapo. But I'd rather buy stamps!!) I've also seen these great boxes so I decided to make an ADDRESS BOX. And here it is.
I think it is quite self explanatory. I did use an additional piece of cardboard for the box and covered it with cardstock and DP (Afternoon teatime SU). I wanted to add ADDRESS BOX or something to it, but I was having the hardest time lining the letters up right, so I've not done that yet. I have to be honest. This is not quite what I had in mind, but for some reason, it's just not coming to me right now. Would love to read your comments on how to dress this up a little more.

This is a great address box! My advice for the lettering if you're afraid to mess it up is to stamp each letter individually and cut them out leaving a border around the stamped image. You can even ink the edges. It's a great look and will let you arrange each letter before adhering.

Cheers!

So much prettier than any address box you could buy at the store. Very nice ...

It's very pretty - perhaps add a flower in the lower corner, or some beads on the ribbon (using sticky strip). If you really want to label it, how about computer generating "Address Box" in a tiny font and making it into a hang tag (off of the buckle). I'm probably not the best person to be giving advice, though, as I always seem to have a hard time adding that "one thing" LOL!

It's adorable. I like the flower idea. It would dress it up, but not be too much. Great job!

I think this turned out fabulous! I need to make one myself - I agree with the suggestions already posted, try stamping address book on paper and then cutting out and maybe a flower or two - but I think you've hit in a really GREAT idea!! I need one of these - what box pattern did you use?

Rosella,
Great box! I love it just the way it is. But adding some embellishments such as a flower or something like that would be nice too!
I think you did a fabulous job on this. Thanks for sharing.
Also thanks for stopping by and leaving the sweet comments.
